Qtopia Terminal issue

I have the 7" LCD and QQ2440V3 board. (I also have the 3.5" Touchscreen).

I installed the following:

supervivi
zImage_tft800480
root_qtopia_mouse.img

Qtopia boots with no problem, but when I go to terminal, I can't type anything, and it seems locked up.


When I try installing the following:
supervivi
zImage_n35
root_qtopia_tp.img

It works fine when I touch the "terminal" icon.

It makes it difficult to do much of anything on the embedded board if I can't access the terminal..... anyone else having this issue? I'm about to give up on qtopia.

I have just a suggestion for a try of Qtopia image for mini2440. You can download it from our ftp server.

I've tried all of the qtopia images for the mini and the qq2440, both TP and Mouse support.

with the 3.5" LCD, I get touchscreen support, but the keyboard does not work....

when I install with mouse support, the terminal program doesn't work at all.

Seems like SOMEONE never tested the software fully, I've had simliar problems with the WINCE image... which is in chinese... and very hard to use.

Maybe the guys at FriendlyArm to help provide a fully working image of linux with the latest kernel, TP, Mouse, Keyboard, SDHC support... and one that allows the configuration of the Ethernet IP address....After reading this board, I'm not the only one with problems.

I still cannot access the terminal from my board.

With our application, it causes us to drag a laptop with us everywhere just to debug.

I am having issues starting up the mini2440 also....
The manual seems to jump over steps and/or suppose previous knowledge with the thing?
and finding a manual in English is difficult.
All I get is the stupid Qtopia screen in Nand boot-up and when I try to boot up in Nor flash, as per the manual, I get nothing(no Vivi or whatever) and lose USB connection to the PC??
I'm running XP....any suggestions?

Here are my suggestions to your questions:
1. Make a photo and post here for the stupid Qtopia screen you ever seen. This will help us a lot to understand what the issue you ever met.
2. For the vivi connection. I suggest you try on another PC. 99% of serial connection issues are caused by a bad serial port of PC.
